Rajesh Kr Prasad

My address is 361 NS Road, over in the Gazipir Tala area of Chinsurah. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but local people know the Suripara neighborhood well enough. I’ve lived in the Hooghly district of West Bengal my whole life, and this is where I’ve set up my work as Rajesh Kr Prasad. The building is an old one, typical for this part of Chinsurah. It has those thick walls that stay a bit cooler in the summer. My office is right on the main road, so I see everyone passing by on their way to the market or the station. It’s not a high-tech setup. I have an old desk, a laptop, and a lot of notebooks. I find that writing things down helps me remember them better than just typing. People from the nearby villages often stop in to ask questions or get some help with their documents. I try to be helpful whenever I can. The area around Gazipir Tala is always busy with rickshaws and vendors. Sometimes the noise makes it hard to concentrate, but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s a local business through and through. I don't have any big slogans or advertisements. People just know I’m here if they need me. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and it keeps me connected to the people in my town.
