Personal Business.

I’m over here in Konnagar, right on G.C. Bose Sarani. My place is N-1/7. It’s in the Hooghly district, which is a bit of a trek from the main part of Calcutta, but I like the quiet. The post office is right here too. I’ve been running this personal business for some time now. It’s just me and some basic equipment in this room. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Outside, the street gets quite lively with people going to and from the station. Pin code 712235 is what you put on the mail, though I also see 700020 on some forms for the Calcutta Bangla area. I handle everything myself. Usually, I start early before it gets too hot. Dealing with the paperwork takes up a lot of time, but that’s just how it goes. I don't have any employees to worry about. Just my own schedule. Sometimes neighbors stop by to chat about the weather or the news. It’s a friendly area. The rain can be heavy here in West Bengal, so I always make sure the roof is okay before the monsoon hits. I’m not trying to grow into some huge company with offices everywhere. I just want to keep things steady and do my work. It’s a simple life in Konnagar. I’ve got my desk, my ledger, and enough tea to last the day. That’s plenty for me to stay happy. I’ll probably be here for many more years. It's my own space.
