Nirala X-Ray Clinic

You’ll find Nirala X-Ray Clinic on Hospital Road in Chinsurah, right next to the Auro Cinema Hall. It’s a busy part of the Hooghly district. Being next to a cinema means there's always something going on, especially when a big movie is playing. The clinic itself is a bit dark because of the X-ray equipment we have to use. We’ve had the same machines for a long time, but they still work just fine for taking pictures of broken bones or chest issues. It’s a small place and the waiting room is usually full of people holding their slips from the main hospital down the road. We try to get the films done quickly so people don't have to wait all day. The smell of the chemicals we use for developing the films is pretty strong, but you stop noticing it after an hour or so. It’s just me and a helper running the place most days. We don't do anything fancy, just standard X-rays that the doctors need to see. Sometimes the building vibrates when the music in the cinema is too loud, which can be annoying but we deal with it. It’s a humble little shop, really. We’ve been here since the cinema was much newer than it is now. Just a local spot for people who need an X-ray without too much hassle or having to wait in the big hospital queues. We keep things moving and try to be as helpful as we can.
