If you head over to Suksanatantala in Chandannagar, you’ll find us at the Jai-Gour House. It’s a bit of a trek if you aren't from around Hooghly, but it’s a nice area once you get there. Kalyan Ray is the main person here. We handle construction projects, mostly big ones that keep the crew busy for months at a time. The office doesn’t look like much from the outside, just a regular place where we keep all our paperwork and maps. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and checking on how much gravel or cement we need for the week. Sometimes things get delayed because of the rain, which is a real pain in this part of West Bengal. We try to keep things organized, but there's always a pile of blueprints somewhere that needs sorting. It’s not a quiet office. Usually, there are people coming in and out to discuss site plans or just to pick up their pay. We have been in this spot for a while, and the neighbors know us. We don’t go for big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find out about us by seeing our trucks or hearing about a project we finished nearby. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but we just keep at it day after day.
