Pink Fashion is tucked away in Barujibi Colony, which is right near the Barujibi Bazar in the Morepukur area of Rishra. Being near the bazar means we get a lot of the spillover crowd from the main market, which keeps us busy. The shop is full of different clothes and fabrics, mostly hung up on racks or folded on the wooden counters. It’s a bit of a colorful mess sometimes, especially when we get a new shipment in and haven't found a permanent place for everything yet. We aren't a big boutique with fancy mirrors and bright lights; it’s more of a local neighborhood shop where people come to see what’s new for the season. The air in the colony is a bit calmer than the main road, but you still hear the sounds of the market and the rickshaws nearby. We spend our time tidying up the hangers and talking to the people who come in from the surrounding houses. It’s a friendly place, and we usually know most of the customers who walk through the door. The shop floor is small, so we have to be very careful about where we put things so people can move around comfortably. Sometimes we sit on the stools near the entrance just to catch a little bit of a breeze when it gets hot. We’ve been here in Rishra for a bit, and we like the way the colony feels like a small community. There’s no corporate ladder here, just us trying to keep things decent and helping people find what they need.
