Monika Parui

I am Monika Parui and I live and work here in Khamargachi. My place is easy to find if you ask for Sannyasi Parui, as I’m staying and working out of his care. We are in Siza (West), which is a nice part of the Hooghly district in West Bengal. The pin code is 712515 in case you are sending something by post. It’s a very local setup. I don’t have a big staff or a fancy office setup with air conditioning everywhere. It’s just a room with what I need to get my work finished. Most of my day is spent right here at the desk. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops, so it’s a friendly atmosphere. You hear the birds and the local traffic passing by while you work. I think working from home like this makes the work feel more real and grounded. It isn't about being some big corporation; it is just about providing what people need from me. Sometimes things get a little disorganized, but I always manage to find what I’m looking for in the end. It’s a simple life and a simple way of doing business. If you are in the Hooghly area, you know how things move a bit slower and more comfortably. That is exactly how I like to keep things here in Khamargachi. I just take things as they come and try to be useful to those around me.
