We operate out of Uttarpara in the Hooghly district. Specifically, our place is at LP 8/3/6, 20 B K Street. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the main Kolkata city, which we actually like quite a bit. Our focus is on construction work, so the office is mostly used for the administrative side of things and planning. There’s usually a pile of blueprints on the main desk and some dusty boots near the door from someone coming back from a site visit. Uttarpara is a good place to be based for us. It’s got a different feel to it, a bit more relaxed than the urban center. We’ve been here for some time and know the local suppliers and workers pretty well. Our team isn’t huge, just a few people who know what they’re doing with bricks and mortar. We don't bother with fancy signs or big glowing logos outside. Most people who need us already know where the office is on B K Street. It can get a bit cramped inside when everyone is in at the same time for a meeting, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out checking on how the walls are going up on our current jobs. It’s honest work, and we just take it one day at a time. The office is just a place to keep the books straight and meet with the guys.
