If you climb up to the fourth floor at 1 Rajendra Bag Road, you’ll find us at Shop-1. Being on the fourth floor in Serampore means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice because the food production makes things pretty hot. Kkek Food Industries started out small and we’re still just a group of people trying to make a living. The space is a bit cramped with all the equipment and the supplies we need to keep on hand. We spend a lot of our time making sure everything is clean and the machines are running like they should. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to carry things up the stairs, which is definitely not the highlight of our day. Hooghly is a busy place, and we feel like we’re right in the middle of it all here. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. We just make the food products and get them out the door. The floor gets a bit messy during the rush, but we tidy up before heading home. It's a lot of long hours standing on our feet, but we enjoy the routine. We know the other shop owners in the building, and we often share a quick snack or a tea in the hallway when there’s a break.
