King Construction

We are over here in Aminpur village, near the Khamarchandi post office in Hooghly. Most of the folks around here know us because we’ve been handling local building stuff for a while now. It is just a small setup, nothing too fancy, mostly just making sure the work gets done right for the people in the neighborhood. My cousin and I started this up and we spend most of our days out at sites or talking to people about their house repairs. Hooghly is a quiet place and we like working here. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get things moving fast, but we manage. We’ve got a couple of tools and a small shed where we keep all the cement and stuff. If you walk down the main road past the post office, you’ll find us. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Usually, it is just someone telling their neighbor about the wall we fixed or the roof we patched up. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but it keeps us busy. We try to keep things simple. No big office or computers here, just a notebook where I write down what needs doing and who needs help next. We’ve seen the village change a bit, but we’re still here in the same spot, just doing what we know how to do. It’s a decent living and we get to stay close to home.
