Kic Metaliks Ltd

Our office is on the 3rd floor of Satyam Apartments, which is at 26/6 Dr P T Laha Street in Rishra. It’s an old part of the Hooghly district, and you can feel that history when you walk down the street. We’ve been running Kic Metaliks Ltd from this building for quite some time. It’s not a modern glass tower; it’s a regular apartment block where people live and work side by side. We have to climb the stairs when the lift is being cranky, which happens more often than we’d like. Inside, the rooms are filled with folders and the sound of people talking on the phone. We deal with metal and all the logistics that go with it. It’s a lot of checking numbers and talking to the people at the plants. Rishra is a busy place with a lot of movement, so there’s always something happening outside our windows. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few old photos. It’s a practical space for practical work. We usually have the windows open to let the air in, even if it gets a bit noisy from the street below. We just focus on getting the day's work done so we can catch the train or head home. It’s a steady life here in Satyam Apartments, and we just keep plugging away at it day after day without much fuss.
