Our setup for Jones Lang Lasalle Meghraj(India) is located in Chandannagar, over in the Koley Bagan area of Kanta Pukur. It’s a bit of a distance from the main hub of Kolkata, but being in the Hooghly district has its own rhythm. The office is in a place that feels very connected to the local neighborhood. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a bunch of receptionists. It’s just a functional space where we handle the business at hand. Chandannagar has a lot of history, and you can feel that even in the way businesses run around here. Our daily routine involves a lot of coordination and just keeping things moving. The building itself is older, which we like because it has some character. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the power cuts out for a minute, but we just work around it like everyone else in the area. We’ve gotten to know the people nearby and it’s a friendly atmosphere. It’s a humble place, honestly. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a flashy office. We just want to make sure we are doing our jobs right and staying connected to the local ground reality. The Hooghly side of West Bengal is where we are most comfortable, and this office reflects that simple, hardworking style we prefer. We spend our time checking through local records and making sure the files are up to date for the next day.
