Inspiration

If you head down toward the Keota Post Office in Hooghly, you will find us over in the Keota Latbagan area. Our place, Inspiration, isn't hard to spot if you know the neighborhood. We have been operating out of this spot for quite some time. It's a regular building, the kind you see all over this part of West Bengal. Inside, we have our rooms set up for what we do every day. There is a lot of activity usually, especially in the mornings when everyone arrives. The post office nearby is a good landmark for people who aren't from around here. We deal with a lot of paperwork and people coming in and out throughout the week. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just how things go here in Hooghly, so we just wait it out. The staff knows the regulars by name. It is not a formal place where you have to wear a suit. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. The street outside can get a bit crowded with bikes and people walking to the market. We try to keep things organized, but it gets messy sometimes when we are busy. It’s a practical setup, nothing for show. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We just like it here.
