About Industrial Enterprisers – Tourism in Hooghly
Our office, Industrial Enterprisers, is at No. 3 Mango Lane on the first floor. Mango Lane is one of those old streets that has a lot of history and a lot of businesses crammed together. To get to us, you have to walk up a flight of stairs that are a bit narrow and worn down from all the years of use. Once you’re inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with industrial parts, tools, and heavy catalogs. We deal with a lot of hardware and machinery components that people need for their factories or workshops. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have any decorations on the walls, just some old photos of the city and a clock that’s usually a few minutes fast. The desks are metal and have been here as long as I can remember. We spend our days answering inquiries and looking through parts lists to find exactly what someone is looking for. It can be quite tedious work, but we’ve gotten good at it over the years. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background to break the silence of the office. There’s a lot of dust from all the metal and cardboard, so we are always wiping things down before the customers come in. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office; we just want to make sure we have the parts people need when they come looking for them on Mango Lane. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town.
