Our place is right on T C Goswami Street in Serampore. We actually take up a few spots on the street, numbers 24, 27, and 28. It’s an old part of town, so the buildings have that classic look with thick walls and high ceilings. The street outside is quite narrow and gets very crowded with rickshaws and people walking to the market. In the morning, it’s a bit of a squeeze to get everyone inside. Once the gates are shut, things settle down a little. We have fans in every room to help with the humidity, but it still gets quite warm. The furniture is old and sturdy, the kind of wood that lasts forever. We don't have computers in every room or anything like that. It’s a very traditional way of teaching here. We rely on the teachers' voices and the books. Most of the staff live right here in Serampore, so it’s a community feel. You see the parents at the grocery store or the tea stall. It’s a simple setup for local families who want their kids to learn. We’ve been here for many years and the routine hasn’t changed much. We just show up, do the lessons, and go home. It’s a bit messy sometimes with all the paperwork, but we manage to keep things moving. Holy Home is just a regular school in an old town.
