Our place, Hindustan Motors Limited, is situated at New Flat-7 in the HM Colony. That is over in Uttarpara, which falls under the Hooghly district in West Bengal. The full address is 712233 India if you’re looking for it. Living and working in the HM Colony is pretty straightforward. It’s a community feel here. We aren’t a massive operation with hundreds of people running around in suits. It’s just a few of us in a flat, keeping things moving. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't really gotten around to it yet. We're too busy with the actual work. Uttarpara is a decent place to be based. It has its own pace, a bit slower than the big city, which suits us just fine. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just have our desks and our computers. Most days are pretty much the same. We get the mail, we talk to whoever calls, and we try to stay organized. It’s not always perfect, but we get there in the end. Being part of the Hooghly district means we are surrounded by people who have been here for generations. It’s just a regular office in a regular colony, doing regular work every day of the week. There is a small shop nearby where we grab some snacks in the afternoon. It's nothing special but it's home for our business.
