Our little office is over at 208/1, Suhasnagar, in the Talpukur area of Rishra. If you know Hooghly, you know it’s a place with its own pace. We’ve stayed here because it’s convenient for the guys and close to where the action is. It is a simple setup really, nothing to brag about. Inside, you’ll find some old wooden desks and a lot of paperwork because the construction business never seems to run out of forms to fill. We spend a lot of our time talking to contractors and making sure the trucks are going where they need to go. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. The rain in West Bengal can be quite something, so we spend a lot of time making sure our roofs are holding up and our equipment is dry. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there, just a group of people working together to get jobs finished. Some days are slow, others are a complete mess of phone calls and late deliveries. We take it as it comes. It’s a practical way to live. The pin code is 712250 if you are looking for us on a map, but most locals just know the Suhasnagar landmark anyway. It is just us, doing what we know.
