Hariom Constructions

Hariom Constructions is located out in Chhotobahera, specifically the Purbapara side. We are on English Road, which is in the Barobahera area of Hooghly. It is a quiet part of West Bengal, or at least quieter than the big cities. We’ve got our setup here and we’ve been part of this community for quite a few years now. The work we do is mostly local. We handle construction projects around the district. You’ll see our trucks moving around the 712246 area quite often. We aren't doing anything fancy. It is just basic construction, making sure things are built to last and the roofs don't leak. My family has lived in Hooghly for a long time, so we know the land and the people well. The office is just a room with some files, a couple of chairs, and a map of the area on the wall. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with workers and checking on where the cement is. It can be stressful when the monsoon hits because everything turns to mud and we have to stop working for a bit. But once the sun comes out, we are back at it. We just take it one day at a time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We don't mind the long hours as long as the job gets finished. That is how we have always done it.
