Haldia Petrochemicals Limited

We are located out in the village of Hashimpur, which is a bit of a quiet spot until you get close to the site. Our address is over in the Patuligram area under the Balagarh police station. It’s quite a way out in the Hooghly district, but it’s where we’ve set up our petrochemical operations. The work here is steady, though it’s not always easy with the weather we get in West Bengal. It gets very humid, and the dust from the roads often settles on everything. We don't have a big, fancy entrance or a lobby with a receptionist. Usually, you just see the workers coming in for their shifts and the trucks moving in and out. Most of us here have been with the company for a long time, so we know the routine like the back of our hands. We don't spend much time talking about big goals or anything like that. We just focus on the machines and the production schedules. If there’s a problem, we fix it ourselves. The post office is just down the road if we need to send anything out. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have much use for corporate speeches or polished brochures. It’s just a group of local people doing a job in a place that’s become part of the community over the years. We keep our heads down and just do the work day in and day out without much fuss.
