Gatik Garments

Gatik Garments is located at No. 75 Netaji Subash Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how incredibly busy it gets on a daily basis. It’s one of those streets where you’re always dodging handcarts and people carrying big bundles of cloth on their heads. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks and stacks of garments in plastic packaging piled up against the walls. We don’t have a lot of room for fancy displays or mannequins, so we just stack things up on the shelves as high as they can go without falling over. The floor is usually covered with some scraps of thread or bits of plastic from the morning’s shipments. We spend most of our time counting the stock or helping people who come in looking for specific sizes and colors. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the old ceiling fans running at full speed to stay cool. There isn't a lot of peace and quiet here, but that’s the nature of being on Netaji Subash Road. We are just a local garment business trying to keep up with the daily demand. The shop is a bit small and can be dark towards the back, but we know exactly where everything is located. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a social media team; we just open the doors and get to work. It’s a hard-working atmosphere where we focus on the clothes and the tasks at hand.
