About Digambar Rice Mill – Food & Beverages in Hooghly
We've been here in Gobindapur for a while now. Digambar Rice Mill is just a part of the landscape in Arambagh. Most days it's just about getting the gates open early and making sure the machinery is running like it should. We aren't a big fancy operation, just a local spot where things get done. You can find us right in the village area. People around here know us by name, which is nice. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, but that's just how it goes with rice. My cousin helps out with the loading when things get busy. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth usually keeps us going. The address is easy to find if you're familiar with the Gobindapur side of things. It's a simple setup. We spend most of our time checking the grains and making sure the bags are stacked right. It’s loud inside the mill during the day so we usually talk outside. The weather affects how much we can do some weeks, especially during the rains. We just keep at it day after day. It's steady work and it keeps the lights on. Not much else to say about it really. We're just here doing what we know how to do. If you pass by Arambagh, you’ll see the building. It’s a way to make a living and we like being part of the town. There are better jobs maybe, but this one is ours and we know it well.
