Craftvil Fashions

Our place, Craftvil Fashions, is located right in Janai Bazar in the Hooghly area. It is a traditional spot, and you can feel the history of the town whenever you walk through the streets. The bazaar is always a bit chaotic, with people shouting and bicycles weaving through the crowds, but that’s the charm of it. We have our little corner where we keep our fabrics and finished pieces. It’s not a large space, so we have to be careful about where we put things so we don't trip. Janai is known for its sweet shops and old buildings, and we like being part of that atmosphere. We spend our days mostly cutting and sewing, or talking to the suppliers who bring us goods from the nearby villages. The floor is made of old stone and it stays cool even when the sun is beating down outside. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the window to use the natural light until it comes back. It’s a very practical way of living and working. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just this physical shop where people can come and touch the materials for themselves. It’s been here for years, and we plan to keep it going as long as we can.
