Chandernagore Housing Private Limited is based out of a place at 5/1 Khan Road in Mankundu. Our office is actually part of Goutam Singha’s premises. It is a bit different from the big city offices in Kolkata because it is much quieter here in the Hooghly area. We handle housing matters for people around this part of the world. It’s a very local operation and most of us have lived nearby our whole lives. On a typical day, we sit around the office desk and go through property maps or talk to people who stop by with questions. There is no big receptionist or shiny lobby here. You just walk in and talk to whoever is available. We drink a lot of tea and discuss the latest local news while we work on our documents. Sometimes the rains make the road outside a bit muddy, but we don't mind much. It’s just the way things are in Mankundu and Bhadreswar. We don't use any fancy systems, just our ledgers and some basic computers to keep track of everything. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just like to provide a place where folks can get their housing stuff sorted without any trouble. It’s a practical business run by people who know the local streets and the people living on them. We just take it one day at a time here.
