Caanvaas Construction Private Limited is tucked away at 134/2 Thakurbari Street in Serampore. It’s one of those older streets where everyone kind of knows each other. Our office isn’t hard to find if you’re familiar with the area. We’ve been doing construction projects from this location for a while. It’s a lot of grit and dirty boots most days. We don’t spend much time sitting behind desks unless we’re sorting out the bills or looking at blueprints. The space at 134/2 is mostly used for storing some gear and having quick meetings before we head out. Serampore has a lot of history, and we like being part of the local scene here. It’s not like those big city firms with fancy lobbies. We just have a plain door and some chairs that have seen better days. The work involves a lot of coordinating with masons and suppliers who sometimes take their time. You learn to deal with the delays and the heat. Every project has its own set of problems to solve, which keeps things interesting. We aren’t looking to become some giant corporation; we just want to keep doing our thing on Thakurbari Street. Most evenings, we’re just wrapping up and heading home like everyone else. It’s a straightforward business run by regular people who know how to handle bricks and mortar. That’s pretty much the long and short of it for us here. We just try to get the job done right.
