Bengal Handicrafts Product

Over in Village-Mirdanga Colony, we run Bengal Handicrafts Product. We are pretty close to P.O.-Guptipara, which is handy for us. The workspace is essentially a large room filled with various materials and finished items waiting to be sorted. It is a very lived-in space with plenty of character and a fair bit of clutter on every surface. We spend our days mostly working with our hands and making sure each piece is okay before we put it aside. There is a lot of noise from the nearby houses and children playing in the street but we like the life it brings to the area. Guptipara is a good place to be based even if the streets are narrow. We have a small radio that plays local stations all day long to keep us company while we work. The floor is usually covered in bits of string or wood shavings depending on what we are doing that week. We don't have a professional cleaning crew so we just sweep up ourselves every few days. It is not a high-tech operation at all. We rely on what we have and the skills we picked up over the years. Bengal Handicrafts Product is just us doing what we know how to do in a corner of Mirdanga Colony. It is a steady life and we are thankful for the work we have to do every day.
