Anaonder Barta Foundation

We are located in Mogragunj, which is a quiet little spot near Hansghara. You have to go through the village to find us at the residence of Naba Kr. Chatterjee. The Anaonder Barta Foundation is really just a local thing. We don’t have a big staff, just some of us who live nearby and wanted to do something. The air is cleaner out here than in Hoogly town, which is nice for a change. We spend our mornings checking in on things and making sure the paperwork is sorted for the post office. It’s not a fast-paced environment. Sometimes we spend an hour just talking to a neighbor who stopped by to chat. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just try to keep the foundation running so it can help out when someone in the village is in a spot of trouble. The office is really just a room with some tables and a lot of files. It’s a bit cramped, especially when more than three people are in there at once. But it works for us. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we know the families around here. It’s a small operation, but we put in the hours every day. There isn't any fancy talk here, just plain English and a lot of hard work to keep things going. We are just local people doing our best.
