Abk Food Products

You can find us over at Dharampur Shanti Nekenth, near Khadina More in Chinsurah. We’re actually quite close to the Techno India Group Public School, so we see the school buses go by every morning and afternoon. At Abk Food Products, we focus on making food items that people use every day in their homes. It’s a pretty straightforward operation. We have a set of machines and a small team of workers who know exactly what they’re doing. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a functional space for production. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment and making sure the supplies are coming in on time from the vendors. Chinsurah is a place where people talk a lot, so if we do a good job, word gets around naturally without us having to do much. We don’t spend money on big ads or fancy signs. We’d rather just make sure the product is what it should be. The entrance is often blocked by a few delivery rickshaws or small trucks, which makes it a bit tight to get in and out during the middle of the day. It’s just the way it is when you’re working in a busy area like Khadina More. We’ve had some long days where things don't go perfectly, like a machine breaking down or a power cut, but we just fix it and keep moving. It’s just a regular part of running a food business.
