A R Memorial Foundation

House number 21 in Nayagram is where you will find us. We are right in the middle of the village under the Suti area. It’s a small house, nothing special to look at, but it’s where we do all our work. We started this because we wanted to do something in memory of what we lost and to help the people still here. Most days are spent sitting with visitors who have all sorts of questions. We do a bit of everything, from helping with paperwork to just giving people a place to talk about their troubles. It can get a bit crowded in the front room when everyone shows up at once. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will talk to you. The village is quiet most of the time except for the kids playing outside. We like being part of the daily life here. We don't have a big budget or fancy computers. Most of our notes are hand-written in big registers. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things but it works for us and the people we serve. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little corner of it in Nayagram. Every day is a bit different, and that’s what makes it interesting for us. We just try to stay helpful and keep the doors open for whoever stops by.
