R.S.Kini & Co. is located in Honavar, which is a nice town in Karnataka. You can find us at Bandehalla in Durgakeri. It is a quiet kind of place compared to the big cities. The office is just a regular setup. We have been here for a good number of years. In Honavar, the weather can get quite rainy during the monsoon, and we have to make sure the roof doesn't leak on the files. Most of our work involves sitting at desks and going through various documents. It is steady work. The people who work here are mostly locals who live nearby. We know the families around the area. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait for it to come back while chatting. It is a very human way of doing business. We don't have any big slogans or goals written on the walls. We just have calendars and some pictures of deities. People walk in with their questions, and we try to give them the answers they need. It’s a simple life in Durgakeri. The office has a certain smell of old paper and ink. It’s not something you find in the new glass buildings. We like it this way. It feels like home to us. We just keep doing the same thing day after day. It works for the community and it works for us too. There is no need for anything more complicated than that.
