Kapili Hardware

We've been here at Kapili Hardware for a while now, right in Ward No. 1 of Village Lanka. If you know the area, you probably pass by the Mehrauli Bus Stop often, and that's exactly where we are, on Sironj Road. It gets pretty busy around here when the buses pull in. We spend most of our days unloading crates and organizing things on the shelves. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so someone is usually sweeping. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got the usual stuff people need for their houses or small repairs. The Tahsil Hojai area is where we grew up, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. It’s not a fancy place, just a local shop in District Nagaon where we keep track of things in a ledger and talk to neighbors. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, and we just sit near the front door to catch a breeze. We try to keep the stock updated, but sometimes it takes a bit of time for deliveries to reach us here on Sironj Road. It's just a few of us working here, making sure we have enough nuts, bolts, and tools for whatever project someone is working on that day. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. It's just how life goes in Lanka.
