Shri Sai Bricks Udhog

Out here in Likhi village, things move at their own pace. Shri Sai Bricks Udhog is right in the middle of it, near Hasanpur in the Hodal area. It’s mostly open land and dusty roads around here, which is fine for what we do. Making bricks is messy work, so being in a village setting works out better than being in a crowded city. We spend our days dealing with mud, fire, and a lot of manual labor. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most of the guys working here are from the nearby villages too. We all know each other pretty well. The weather plays a big part in our life—if it rains, everything stops, and if it’s too hot, we just have to push through it. There’s no big sign or fancy office building at our site. You just see the stacks of bricks and the smoke from the kiln. People from around Hodal know where we are. They drive down these village roads to see what we have ready. We don’t do much advertising; word usually gets around when someone is building a house or a wall. It’s a basic life, really. We wake up early, check the batches, and hope the weather stays dry so we can get the work done. It’s just a regular brick field trying to keep the supply moving for the local folks who are building things nearby.
