Mangelal Vedprakash

Mangelal Vedprakash has been a fixture on the Main Road in Siwani for a long time. Being out here in the Bhiwani district, things move a little slower than in the big cities, and we like it that way. Our place is right in the heart of the village. It’s a simple building where we handle our business every day. Most of our neighbors are also our friends, so work feels a lot like just being part of the community. We deal with whatever the local needs are at the time. The shop gets a bit crowded on market days, and there’s always someone stopping by for a chat while we work. We don't use a lot of fancy computers or systems; we mostly stick to what we know works for us. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep things in order as much as possible. We’ve seen the kids in the village grow up and some of them even come to help us out now during their holidays. It isn't a complicated business. We open the doors early, see what needs to be sold or moved, and get on with it until the sun goes down. People know where to find us if they need something. We don't bother with big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth has always been enough for us here in Siwani. It's just how we've always done things. We've got old wooden shelves and a heavy iron door that we lock up at night.
