Educomp Solutions Ltd is based out of VPO-Shikarpur in the Hisar district of Haryana. Being in a rural area like this gives our work a different perspective. We are out here in the 125044 zip code, far away from the big city skyscrapers. Our office is a simple building that serves as a hub for our educational support activities. It’s often dusty outside because of the plains, and the weather in Hisar can be pretty extreme, but we’re used to it. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on computers or organizing materials for schools. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics that we need to stay productive. The pace of life in Shikarpur is slower, but our work keeps us busy. We often talk to local educators and try to figure out how to help them with the tools we have. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. There are no corporate titles that people take too seriously here; we all just pitch in when something needs doing. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait it out, which is just part of the routine. We like being part of the community here and seeing how our presence makes a small difference in the local area. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels important in a very practical way.
