Punjabi Ayurvedic Clinic

Punjabi Ayurvedic Clinic is situated in Dhuna Dhuna, right near the Ram Lila Ground. If there is a festival or an event going on at the ground, the whole area gets blocked up with people and stalls, which makes getting to the clinic a bit of a challenge. Our place is quite small and traditional. We focus on the old-school Punjabi way of doing Ayurveda. This involves a lot of manual work, grinding herbs and mixing oils by hand every morning. The smell of the clinic is very distinct; you can smell the medicinal plants from the street. We don't have a computer for appointments; we just use a big ledger book and write everything down with a pen. Most of our patients are older people who have been coming to see us for years, though we see some younger folks too who are tired of modern medicine and want something different. The furniture is all wooden and quite old. We have a small back room where we store all the jars of roots and powders. It’s a very quiet and slow-paced place compared to the busy world outside. We don't do any advertising at all. People just find us because their parents or neighbors told them about the treatments we do here. It’s an honest way to spend the day, helping people feel a bit better using the old methods we learned long ago from our teachers.
