If you go down to the Ladies Market near Lakhiram Dharamshal, you’ll find us. It’s a small shop, but we’ve got it packed with all sorts of garments. Mostly it’s ladies' wear, which makes sense given where we are located. The market is always a bit chaotic, with people pushing past and vendors shouting, but inside it’s a bit calmer. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling because there’s never enough floor space. Sometimes it’s hard to find a specific color right away, but we eventually dig it out of the piles. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything like that. The walls are just plain, and we have a couple of mirrors so people can see how the clothes look. My sister and I run the place most of the time. We sit on the little stools and wait for customers to come in. It’s been our family business for a few years now. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just want to make a living and keep the regulars happy. When the sun goes down, the market gets even busier, and that’s when we do most of our work. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don't have any big sales pitches. You just look at what we have, and if you like it, you buy it.
