Pakhala Rural Development Foundation

Pakhala Rural Development Foundation is based in the village of Manawali, which is in the Fatehabad area. We are located care of Lilu Ram. It’s a rural spot, as the name suggests. We are about as far from a corporate city office as you can get. Our work happens right here in the heart of the community in 125050. We don't have a big team of experts. It’s just us, some local folks who wanted to help out with development in our own backyard. We spend a lot of our time outdoors or meeting people in the village. Our office space is simple and doesn't have much in the way of decoration. We focus on the practical side of things. There’s always plenty to do when it comes to rural areas, so we stay pretty busy. We don't have a website with flashy graphics or a PR person. We just use plain English and tell it like it is. Being in Manawali keeps us grounded. We know the challenges people face because we live them too. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to reach the more remote parts of the district. It’s hard work, and it’s not always pretty, but it’s what we do. If you’re coming from Hisar, it’s a bit of a drive, but we think it’s worth being out here where the actual needs are. We just take things one day at a time.
