Ours Academy

We’re located over in Gali Number 2 of Rishi Nagar, which is basically right behind the main bus stand here in Hissar. It’s a pretty convenient spot if you’re coming in from outside the city on the buses, though the street can get a bit crowded with rickshaws during the morning rush hours. Ours Academy started out small, just a couple of rooms where we could sit down with students and go over their daily lessons. We still have that same simple feel today. The walls are painted a basic off-white, and we’ve got a few rows of wooden benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. You can hear the buses pulling into the station if the windows are open, but most of the time we’re just focused on the books and the work. There’s a small desk near the entrance where someone usually sits to answer questions, but half the time they’re in the back helping out with something else that needs doing. We don’t have any big signs or fancy lights, just the name on the door and some flyers we put up occasionally. In the summer, the fans stay on full blast to keep the heat away, and we always keep a big jar of water near the corner for whoever needs it. It’s just a regular place for people in Hissar to come and study. We try to keep things organized, but with so many students coming and going, there’s usually a pile of notebooks or some stray pens lying around on the tables.
