Our place is out in V.P.O. Budana, which is part of the Narnaund Tehsil in the Hissar district. It is a completely different pace of life out here compared to places like Delhi or Gurgaon. Metso Minerals Pvt. Ltd. has its operations set up where there is a bit more room to breathe. We deal with minerals and the machinery people use for them. Being based in Budana means we are actually quite close to some of the sites where the work happens. It is a very simple building we work out of. There aren't any fancy cafes or restaurants nearby, so we usually just bring our own tiffin or grab something from a local stall. The dusty roads are just a normal part of the day for us. We spend a lot of time talking to people from the villages around Hissar. It is honest, steady work. We have a few rooms with desks and some old filing cabinets. It stays quiet most of the time, except for when a big truck rolls by or during the harvest when the whole village gets busy. We like being in Narnaund. It feels real and unpretentious. No one here bothers with suits or fancy clothes; we just wear what is comfortable for the weather. We have a small team, and we have been working together for years.
