G Hospital

Being located right near the bus stand means G Hospital is never really quiet. You can hear the horns and the engines revving all through the day and even into the night. It’s a very convenient spot for people traveling from out of town. They get off the bus and we are right there. Sometimes people come in with luggage because they’ve traveled a long way just to see one of the doctors. The building itself is straightforward. We have a small entrance that leads straight to the reception desk. It’s a bit of a transition from the dusty, loud bus stand to the cooler inside of the hospital. We see a lot of emergency cases because of the location. The staff here are used to things moving quickly. We don't have much space for a big garden or anything like that. It’s all very practical and focused on the rooms and the care. People are always checking their watches because they have a return bus to catch. We try to be mindful of that. The benches in the waiting area are sturdy and have seen a lot of use. It’s a tough location because of the noise, but it’s where we are needed most. Every day is different, depending on who steps off the bus and needs help. It’s just a busy life here near the transport hub, and we just keep the doors open for everyone who comes by. It is a bit loud but we are here.
