Centre For Sight Hisar

The Centre For Sight Hisar is located within the Gayatri Eye Care Institute, right at Jindal Chowk in Model Town. Being at such a big intersection means we are right in the middle of everything. You can see the traffic circling the chowk all day long from our upper windows. The building itself is quite sturdy and has a lot of rooms dedicated to different things. We spend our mornings checking the equipment and making sure the waiting area is tidy. There are rows of chairs where people sit and wait for their names to be called. We don't have a lot of decorations, mostly just some signs telling people where to go. The air conditioning hums in the background, which is a relief during the Hisar summers when it gets incredibly hot outside. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, as you might expect, and the filing cabinets are getting pretty full. The staff mostly keeps to themselves, focused on the tasks of the day, whether that’s cleaning the lenses or updating the ledger. It’s a busy atmosphere but not rushed. People come from all over the district to this spot, so we see a wide variety of folks every day. We just try to keep the flow moving and the office running as smoothly as possible without any fuss. The evening sun hits the building at a sharp angle, signaling it’s almost time to lock up and head home.
