Baba Trading Company

We are set up near the Old Bus Stand on Hisar Road. If you know where the Jat Dharamshala is, we are right near there. Being by the bus stand means it is never quiet. There are always buses pulling in, horns honking, and people rushing around. Our shop is a bit of a hub for trading different goods. We have a lot of stuff coming in from the Hisar Road side. The front of the shop is usually busy with people asking about prices or checking out what we have in stock that day. We use a lot of handwritten notes to keep track of who owes what and what needs to be ordered next at Baba Trading Company. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We don't have computers everywhere; it’s mostly just us and our ledgers. The air around here is often dusty from the road, and we spend time cleaning the counter just to keep things decent. We have a few chairs out front where friends and long-time customers sit to talk about the weather or the market. It’s a very old way of doing things. We don't have a big marketing plan or a polished image. We just open the shutters in the morning, do our trading, and close up when the sun goes down. It’s a simple life in a loud part of town, but we are used to it.
