Anurag General Store

Anurag General Store is sitting right in Ward Number 7 at Adampur Chowk. If you are looking for us, we are right near the State Bank of India ATM, which is where most people end up anyway. Our shop has been around for a while now and we just try to keep the basics that everyone in Adampur needs. We have things like soap, biscuits, rice, and different kinds of spices. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when people are heading home from work. I usually start the day early to get everything ready before the heat kicks in. The shelves are a bit mismatched because we added them one by one as we got more stuff to sell. It is not a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. Just a simple shop where you can get what you need without any fuss. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time because of the traffic at the chowk but we manage. My kids come by after school to help move boxes or sweep the floor. We know most of the people who walk through the door because they are our neighbors. We don't have a big sign with lights, just the name above the door. If we don't have something today, we usually try to get it in by next week. It is just a regular life running a store in a busy spot like this one.
