Abishalom Foundation

Abishalom Foundation is at Ssb-13, which is right next to the Police Chowki in the PLA Hisar area. Being so close to the police station means there is always something going on and plenty of people walking by. Our office is pretty easy to find if you are familiar with the neighborhood. It is a basic setup with just enough room for our small team to get the work done. We have some old wooden desks and a few computers that have definitely seen better days. Most of our time is taken up by local residents who drop in to see what we are working on. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment or a large budget to work with. We just use what is available to us to help out where we can. Hisar is the kind of place where everyone talks to everyone else, so we hear about local issues just by sitting in the office. We try to stay involved in what is happening on our street and beyond. The tea stall on the corner is where we spend our short breaks during the day. For us, this is just a normal job, even though it is a foundation. We show up every morning, deal with whatever problems have come up, and then head home. There is no big secret or complicated strategy. We just try to be honest and do the work that is right in front of our faces.
