Rangadevathe Farm

If you head out toward Mayasandra Village in Hiriyur Taluk, you’ll find us on the Old Thavandi Road. This isn't the city, so things are a lot slower around here than what people are used to in Bangalore. Rangadevathe Farm is basically just our piece of land where we spend most of our daylight hours working. The road out here can be a bit bumpy, especially after the rains, so you have to take it slow if you're driving a car. We spend a lot of time outdoors, dealing with whatever the season throws at us. Some days it’s the heat that really gets to you, and other days we’re just hoping for a bit of a breeze while we finish our work. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Usually, you’ll find us near the sheds or out by the fence line. It’s a lot of physical work, fixing things that break and making sure the soil is looking okay. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know the neighbors and the local shops in Hiriyur pretty well. It’s a quiet existence for the most part, except for when the tractors are running. We just focus on the daily chores and getting things ready for the next cycle. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty, but that’s just how it goes on a farm on Old Thavandi Road.
