Vitthal Hospital

We are over on TPS Road in Shivaji Nagar, right in the Parli TPS area. It is an industrial kind of place, so there is always a lot of activity around the hospital. The building isn't new, and you can tell by looking at the stairs and the heavy doors. We have several rooms for people to stay in, and the hallways are usually busy with staff moving back and forth. It’s not a fancy private hospital with carpets and art on the walls. It is a practical place. We have metal beds and simple cabinets for supplies. The windows stay shut mostly because of the noise from TPS Road, but you can still hear the trucks and the machinery sometimes. Shivaji Nagar is a hard-working area, and we fit right into that. We spend a lot of time checking the monitors and making sure the oxygen tanks are full. The break room has a small stove where we make tea throughout the day. It’s the one place where we can sit for five minutes and breathe before someone calls for help again. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have our names on the board and the work we do every day. The nights are long here, but the morning shift always brings a new set of tasks to get through by the end of the shift. We just try to stay focused on the people who are currently in the beds.
