Out here in Yelhegaon, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We are located at Manish Shyamrao Akhare’s house, which is number 254. It is just a local place in the Hingoli district. Most people around here know Manish or at least they know where the house is situated. We don’t have a big glass front office or a sign that lights up the street at night. It is just a room where we sit and handle the daily business. The village is very quiet most mornings, except for the birds and maybe some tractors passing by on the dirt road. We get a few people coming in every day from the nearby farms. They usually have some questions or just want to check on their accounts. We sit down, maybe have some water, and talk through whatever they need. It’s a very local thing, really. We don’t try to act like some big corporate branch you would find in a city like Mumbai. It’s just us helping out folks from Yelhegaon and other parts of Hingoli. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two in the afternoon, so we just sit on the porch and wait for it to come back. It is a simple life and the work follows that same pattern. No one is in a huge rush here. We keep our books tidy and make sure everything is written down correctly. It's just a regular office for regular people.
