Ganesh Jagannath Kalyani Kirana Merchant

This is a kirana shop out in Badhegaon, which is in Sahebgaon Taluka. We are right on the road near the Pitha Mandir. It’s a local spot where people from the village come to get their supplies. The name on the sign is Ganesh Jagannath Kalyani, which is quite a mouthful, but people just know us. We sell the usual grains, pulses, and oil that everyone needs for their cooking. The road outside can get very dusty, especially when the tractors go by. We spend a lot of time sweeping the front of the shop because of that. The mandir is just a short walk away, so we get people stopping by after their prayers. It’s a simple setup with big jars and bags of rice sitting on the floor. We don’t have any fancy computers or barcode scanners here; we just write things down or remember them. The pace of life in Badhegaon is slow, and we like it that way. We talk to the farmers about the rain and the crops while they wait for their stuff to be weighed. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’ve been here for a long time. There isn't much to say other than we just sell the basic things the village needs. Every day is pretty much the same, from the time we open till we close up for the night. We sit out front sometimes when it is quiet and just watch the street.
