Sree Gayathri Fancy & General Store

We run this small fancy and general store in Sriharipuram, down here in Visakhapatnam. The shop is full of all sorts of things, from small trinkets to daily household items that people in the 530011 area might need in a hurry. It’s a bit crowded inside because we try to stock as much as we can on the shelves. You have to navigate around the boxes sometimes. We open up early in the morning because that’s when people are out getting their supplies before the sun gets too hot. Vizag is always humid, so we usually have a small fan blowing right at the counter where we sit. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We know most of the kids who come in for sweets after school and the parents who stop by for soap or thread. It isn't a supermarket; it’s just a local shop where you can find a bit of everything if you look long enough. Sometimes we spend the afternoon restocking the shelves or checking what’s running low. The street outside is mostly residential, so it stays fairly calm until the evening rush. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. If you need something small and don't want to go all the way to the big market, you just walk over to Sriharipuram and find us. It’s a simple life, just minding the till and talking to the neighbors who stop by to chat.
