Si General Stores

Si General Stores is right beside Avk in Jawahar Nagar. We’re located in Sriharipuram, which is a nice part of Visakhapatnam to be in. The shop is a basic general store, nothing too over the top. We’ve been here for a while, just serving the people who live nearby. Most of our customers are just neighbors who need a few things for their kitchen or house. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to make sure the shop is open when people need it. It’s a one-room setup mostly, with shelves lining the walls. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that helps. We keep track of everything by hand mostly. It’s a lot of work to keep the inventory right, but we’re used to it now. Being near Avk means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It makes the day go by faster when you can have a quick chat with someone you know. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics. If we have what you need, great. If not, we try to get it next time. It’s just a practical, local shop for the community here. We’re happy to be a small part of the neighborhood. The shop doesn't change much, but that's why people like it, I think. It works for everyone.
