Kanadurga Kirana Stores

I start the day early at Kanadurga Kirana Stores because that is when people in Visakhapatnam want their milk and fresh items. Our address is 60-1-77, Prakash Nagar, Malkapuram, and it's a place where everyone knows everyone else. The humidity here in Vizag can be quite something, especially in the afternoons when the sun is directly over the shop. I spend a lot of time checking the sacks of rice and the various pulses we keep in stock. We try to have everything that a normal kitchen needs like oil, salt, and spices. The shop is located in a quiet part of the 530011 area, but it gets busy during the evening hours when everyone is returning from work. I usually sit on a small wooden stool behind the counter and wait for the regulars to show up. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just some old shelves and a refrigerator for the cold drinks. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come in looking for small candies or cheap toys. I’ve been running this place for a while now and it’s just a part of my daily life. The floor needs a sweep pretty often because of the dust from the road, but I don't mind it much. It’s just the way things go around here in Prakash Nagar. I hope the weather stays decent so the goods stay fresh on the shelves.
