Sapna Marble

We have our stone yard over at Plot No. 10 and 20. It is a big open space where we keep all the marble slabs. It’s a very dusty business and everything you touch leaves a white mark on your clothes. We spend most of our time out in the yard moving these heavy pieces of stone. We have some machines for cutting and polishing, and they make a lot of noise throughout the day. People come by to look at the different colors and patterns in the marble. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. You just walk around the plots and see the stone as it is. Some slabs have natural marks and others are very plain. We’ve been working with marble for a long time. It’s hard labor and your back definitely feels it by the end of the week. The address is simple, just those two plots. We don't have a big office or a reception desk. Usually, we just meet people right where the stone is kept. The weather affects us a lot because most of the work is outdoors. When it rains, everything gets slippery and we have to be extra careful. We just do our work and sell the stone to whoever needs it for their house or office. It’s an honest way to make a living. There isn't much more to it than that, just cutting and selling stone and trying to keep the yard organized.
